Sufi to start efforts for peace today
LAHORE: In a response to a government offer, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammad (TNSM) chief Sufi Muhammad has said that he will start efforts for establishment of peace in Swat by meeting local elders and Taliban on Thursday (today), a private TV channel reported.
TNSM spokesman Ameer Izzat Khan told the channel that the government had assured them of the establishment of Darul Qaza in Malakand division. He said the move would be formally announced after a meeting between Sufi and a delegation of the NWFP govt. According to APP, Taliban spokesman Muslim Khan told reporters by telephone that the Taliban were fully honouring the Swat peace deal. daily times monitor/app
